Quick channel naming would be welcome.
Typing a name, selecting next channel, typing another name, selecting further channel and so on. Without confirmation of each name (“apply”).

once you hit apply, you can select any channel and the label menu stays open to label any channel or buss selected…you can go right down the channels and not have to ever leave the label screen.

How about a name tag recorded by microphone?
In this way: “SQ! the following channels should be named…”

Ha ha ha, no, that was a joke! 😉 😉

Might be possible using an app and the midi connection? – “Hey Siri, change channel 1 name to bobs mic. Thanks.”

lol, but a copy / paste function on channel names would be no unnecessary luxury 🙂

“Ok finding directions to Bob’s ‘Hike’ and outdoor goods store, Colorado” !! lol

Copy and paste names would have to auto-add a number 2 to the first copy, then 3, 4 ,5 etc

Once it’s voice activated it’ll need another Ethernet port for integration with the coffee machine.. internet of things!

But yes, an auto-increment would be good. I’d use that a lot.

yes yes yes channel naming is slow and time does not always allow the proper naming of all channels prior to sound-check.
Perhaps add a tab on the name/color screen with a range of channel names.

Perhaps a variant of the Yamaha off line editor with the avatars for vocals, drums, hornes etc?

Could have a list/matrix to choose from for things. Sax, trumpet, bone, egtr agtr, keys, piano….

Well, I don’t really need pictures like that.
I find channel labeling more meaningful.

what I would really find exciting would be strips that could be written on by hand, so that one would have all freedoms of the marking of channels like in the past with the analog consoles. 😉

a group of buttons with common channel names laid out like the colors are would be great for fast naming
