Hi folks, recently got a qu-sb and very happy with it so far! A question for you people with more experience than me – I play in 4 different bands, and some of us in different bands want to use the qu-you app for IEM’s. my question is, for example the d
Bass player in my main band also sings, so he’d be looking at bass, lead vox and his own vox in his mix on qu-you. That much is straightforward. What I’m trying to figure out is, in another band, the same guy plays drums and we have 6 vocals going on. Does he have to re-configure his qu-you app each time we play with the other band, or can the settings be saved with the scenes or some similar method? Thanks in advance for any advice.2023/08/19 at 6:27 am #114243GigaParticipantIIRC the Q-You app stores its layout on the device but not the settings, those are pulled from the desk when it logs in. He might consider building a lay-out with all his needed channels for both bands. If the scene for one of those bands is recalled on the desk (including the sends for his aux) that should reflect on his instance of Qu-You.
Good luck !

Seems if I log out of qu-you, change the scene to the other band and log in again, the channels assigned to qu-you stay the same as the previous scene. Am I following you that he’d need to re-assign the channels in his qu-you mix to the other band, but the levels stored would translate from the mixer to the app?

Just had a band last week that I had worked with about a year and a half
ago, members in the band who still had the QU You app on their phones opened
the app and still had their set up.
To make it even better I had saved a scene after the last time I worked with them!2023/08/19 at 10:50 pm #114258ColeyeParticipantWhat I mean is, is there a way to store the channel assignments for 2 different bands in the app? If that makes sense?
2023/08/19 at 11:28 pm #114259ColeyeParticipantThat’s what I’m after – how to build and store layouts on the qu-you app for 2 bands, to save having to go the the process of assigning the various channels to the wheels all over again.

How close is the channel line up between the two bands? Do you use the same QU SB for the other bands?2023/08/20 at 8:27 am #114264GigaParticipantAn escape route might be for him to use a second phone/tablet dedicated to the second band ?

In one he’s on bass, so probably just vocals plus a touch of maybe 1 or 2 other channels. Other bands he’s on drums and would be looking most likely for kick, keys, fiddle and 6 vocals, so not really very similar at all.
