Keep checking on website under QU and software.
2014/07/03 at 7:00 am #40545I doubt that the Qu16 and Qu24 will have DCAs since there isn’t any room for them, unless A&H creates another layer beyond the custom layer, If they did, they would be drifting away from the real beauty of this console and that is the fact that they have virtually eliminating the need to constantly switch between layer’s like I have to do when I mix on the GLD. Yes the GLD has tons more features, but mixing music for a live concert is so much more musical and has far greater “flow” to mixing and getting to things lightening fast,,,,twelve faders on the GLD80 compared to 24. 🙂
I’m just speculating though 🙂
Dan2014/07/03 at 8:49 am #40547they could add DCAs for the QU16 – as long as there is a way to assign them to the custom layer they don’t need a dedicated slot on one of the main layers.
Alternatively they could allow any channel fader (or group fader) to be a DCA master…Hopefully we won’t need to speculate for much longer!
2014/07/04 at 12:47 pm #40582sorry for my english, it had to come out in early July, the 1.5 firmware?
2014/07/07 at 10:02 am #40639V1.5 is now released on the web. Have a look at the new features here and please read the Release Notes before downloading the firmware.
New versions of DAW Control and the Windows driver have also been released, please check the details on the product Software page.
Updated Qu documentation including the V1.5 User Guide are also available online.
2014/07/07 at 11:03 am #40645no color change channel, no, no multi ipad iphone application control aux, I am very disappointed with this update, I was expecting more, ‘excuse my rant but I’ve gone from Presonus Studiolive (where I had all these options) to qu 24 thinking to make a big jump in quality ‘, maybe I’m wrong.
2014/07/07 at 11:20 am #40646Awesome update for me! having names stored in scenes is exactly what i need for the several bands that i support!
@EGGStudio
Why do you compare to Presonus SL? There is a lot more in the Qu than in the Presonus! I’m shure you made a big jump in “quality” when you swapped to Qu-24 from a Presonus! Especially the reliability is one of the most important issue on a live-console! I never had any issue on my Qu-16 nor my GLD-80! Whereas i’ve had severel times to fight with freezed Presonus SL! As well the Audio-Quality of A&H Boards are just awesome and the processing works flawless! (I don’t wanna tell you about the motor-fader..)However, if your happier with the Presonus – no one will charge you! But please don’t compare an apple with a pear! Keep requesting friendly and reasoned! As more user “thumb up” your request – as more you got the chance to see that in a next firmware!
2014/07/07 at 11:36 am #40647perhaps I expressed myself badly and I apologize, definitely more than 24 qu presonus SL, but on a mixer from 2700 € to have the ability ‘to control iphone with aux option seems simple enough, I think a & h wants to sell ME-1 but I am having a band of 6 musicians means spending 3000 .tutti other mixers have application for iphone-ipad, I hope in the next update.
2014/07/07 at 8:58 pm #40657Looks good, I look forward to trying it out! Quite keen to try the new patch options!
EGGStudio, did you not read the feature set advertised before you parted with your €2700 and bought the mixer? It’s all there to read, and it’s all implemented. Any new features are a bonus, at no extra cost. I agree with eotsskleet that requests here should remain friendly and reasoned. There’s no need to be irrational.

AnonymousHi.
Just a thought before I jump in with such excitement and a cup of tea…
Do I need to uninstall the older ASIO driver in PC or windows?
It has always been the thing to do however I have noticed some drivers now collect data settings and remove older versions and install over top.. hmm?anyone?

2014/07/08 at 1:45 am #406601.5 looks great! Congratulations and thanks to all the A&H Qu Team. I really appreciate the new features!
2014/07/08 at 2:24 am #40662Upgrade does look great. Thanks. Now what is everyone going to fuss about besides multiple ipads? This console is getting pretty loaded with needed features.
2014/07/08 at 8:31 am #40666I’d still like subgroups on the QU-16 so that I can do group processing (compression/FX)! but you’re right – this system just gets better and better 🙂
