Qu-SB not recognized via USB-B

So, the next step in getting to know my new toy named Qu-SB was to try to get the USB-B connection to my DAW going.

I dl’d the usb-drivers file, read the manual and did exactly as described.

My computer (which is pretty bad as btw, W7 64bit, I7 quad-core 3600 Mhz, 16G RAM) seems to see the Qu-SB is there but plugging in gives the message software not installed. The QU USB Control Panel says there are no USB devices connected. Presonus Studio One says the device couldn’t be started. Windows devicemananger gives me the opportunity to disable the device and then enable it again with the “software not installed” pop-up as a result.
Tried it with the previous version of the usb driver -> same result, rebooted both the mixer and the computer -> same result…

Hmmmm hmmmm.

PS: also tried both USB 2 and USB 3 ports to no avail

Try first connecting the SB to the computer, then power up the SB.
