I just went through a similar upgrade process. I went from QSC k series to Meyer. I got UPQ-1P’s. They are major overkill for most of my gigs now, but I don’t regret the purchase. I did purchase UPJ-1p’s for the smaller gigs and they are fantastic.

Thanks Kmoor. Just out of curiosity, in what sense were the UPQ-1P’s overkill? I have a few other questions:

– Do you run all instruments through the PA?
– What instruments are being used?
– What size venue/audience are you using them in?
– Are the UPJ-1p’s sufficient for the low end without the use of a sub?
