to make it clear the last time

A&H is not the only company having problems with USB thumb drives
and this has nothing to do with the design of their devices

I can send you a box full of USB thumb drives not working on particular devices
but working on others (but I don’t do that, it will not change anything)

to hijack that many threads about different things to complain again and again
about USB devices that will not change anything in the near future
    is at least childish…

if that database has that information it should be pulled out and made easy to find

this thred is pinned to the top of every part of this forum
my fault not to tell you that these things at the beginning are important

does taht discussion tell what their design screwed up and how they will avoid it next time?

their design doesn’t screwd things up
10 years ago there were much more compatible USB drives
and it was not foreseeable that so many of your USB drives are problematic
some of mine still do their job

    @SteffenR

To make it even clearer for the last time:
I have had NO problems with many other devices from various makers.
My usb memory sticks work everywhere but on the Qu.

If it is not the erroneous design, or poor component selection, then why do my usb memory sticks fail on the Qu
but then go work fine on everything else I try them on.

To be fair, Win 10 has the ability to mess them up so they won’t work on any other device but win 10 if I used them there. Other than that they mix and match just fine.

Why are the drives not compatible with AH?
Did the USB standard have a mistake so that USB3 is not backwards compatible with USB2?
Or did AH choose chips that were not compatible with the standard?
Or did they bake in the flaw using hardware instead of allowing a new driver to be inserted via firmware?

I hijack no thread. My comments were pertinent to the thread or a previous comment.
