I have an existing USB hard drive (Seagate touch and go) that appears to be a bit flaxy as a Qu-Drive on a QU-32. I suspect the problem is that the USB port needs a bit more than 500mA since when I used it on a mac, I had to use one of those bodge cables which draws power from two USB ports. Hence I used to use a powered USB hub between the HD and the mac. Can the same trick be used with a QU-32 – that is, can I use a USB hub between the mixer and the HD?

I doubt it, but you could run a powered hub into one of those bodge cables.

Tried using a hub last night – yep, doesn’t work!
