Hello, we are a church using our QU-32 mixer as a monitor mix for our livestream.

However, we are hearing this static/tick sound coming from almost all channels in QU-32 when monitored through headphones as well as from our livestream.

    The set-up is this:
SQ-7 tie line to QU-32 using cat6 ethernet cable

    What we have tested:
    1. We traced from the source sound to SQ-7 and into Qu-32. The static/tick sound only appears when it comes to QU-32.
    2. We checked our direct recording from SQ-7, there is no static/tick sound.
    3. We tried reducing the pre-amp gain given through SQ-7, but there is still static sound.
    2. We tried hard-resetting QU-32, but there is still static sound.

Would anyone know of similar situations and how to solve it? Attached is a recording of how the static/tick sounds like (1sec, 5sec, 7sec). Thank you!

    Possibly the clock source.

Qu desks must be master clock sources – they can’t receive clocking from the SQ. So the SQ must be set to receive the clock from the Qu through its Slink or I/O port. See section 12.8 of the manual for more info.
