set up is Qu-32 with 2412 as stage box.

when channel input is selected as local, “virtual” pot changes to red,
adjusting onboard gain control shows movement up to 60db.
input gain will increase BUT only up to +10db, then no actual increase in gain
ALSO there is no local phantom power supplied to channels

it almost seems like the gain is acting like a digital trim..
is there a setting somewhere to select/disable??

occurs ch 3-32 – LOCAL input only, when dsnake is selected i have full gain and phantom control

input channel 1 and 2 – local and dsnake working perfectly…

i have updated and rolled back and re-updated different Firmware versions – no difference
    hard reset done

    thoughts??

    Hi Phil,

This sounds like a hardware issue unfortunately. Please contact your local distributor who will be able to verify this, you can find their details here: https://www.allen-heath.com/where-to-buy/

    Thanks!

    thanks Alex for quick reply,

I have been in touch (via phone) with local distributors, they are uncertain as to cause/fix.
    possibly a pc board issue.
of course no longer under warranty…

seems odd that it has 2 operational local headamps.
i think the channel board is a bank of 16?? maybe 8?

Desk is owned by venue, and at the moment a “permanent” install, dsnake for stage inputs.
I can get away with having only 2 locals, 1 for room mic, 1 for TTS.

anyone else had this happen and resolved??
