Hi there
It would be really great to be able to set the sends from input to FX bus to “pre fader”.
Similar to how you can toggle an the aux outputs between pre fader / post fader. This has come up a few times in the troubleshooting forums:
1. adding FX to monitors: https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/fx-to-monitor-outputs-1-6-bug
2. adding FX to aux, but not main front of house: https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/sends-to-fx-problem
3. use a second reverb for in ear mixes https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/effect-sends-pre-faderThis feature also has support in the following thread: https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/pre-post-per-channel-selection
Thanks!

Having a pre-fader option would make this unit absolutely perfect in my eyes! Created my account just to say this actually, and then saw this thread (and others similar to it!
I like having full control over my monitors and this would give me the ability to have consistency from gig to gig no matter what we need to do with FX at FOH. Also when I am wearing my FOH hat I can know confidently that I am more free to mess with things as needed without messing with the band’s mixes.
This would also be great for the times this is used as and IEM rack (which I’ll do here and there too) as main LR could essentially be used as a 4th stereo mix (or 7th mix if the others are set to mono)!
Thanks for the consideration A&H!

We use the CQ20B with an input splitter to control our IEMs. If pre-fader fx were possible, It would be very powerful to be able to dedicate the mainLR outputs to send FOH our (wet only) FX to blend and process separately as needed for the particular room.2024/07/24 at 9:47 am #124065SmilzoParticipant+1
2024/11/10 at 4:03 pm #127181AlainTParticipanti just received the cq20 for mixing effects of synth (inputs are in Y split with output of synth and inputs of my PC interface (3xUR824). The idea is to send all synth to all multieffect, the main output of cq 20 become the generral return of effect i connect to UR824 input as well. i don’t want have direct signal in outputs of cq20. I discover the internal fx have no pre fader input so i can’t use the internal effects…
