I think at that point I’d be looking to have a PC alongside for playback – I suspect the coding for the GUI list is limited to 100 (maybe actually 128) or 25 (256) – I can’t think of many places where a longer list would be navigable…

Ok, I will try with 50 and increase slowly ;-).
It would be great to have a lot of songs playing during the band break. It’s just for music in the Background and I don’t want to plug in an extra player or a PC.

    ok, that is too much.
But last time had 2 bands from 08:00 pm – 03.00 am.
With a lot of time before they started and a lot of time between the sets 😉

That’s where I think an iPod (other mp3 players are available) come into their own – mostly ‘cos someone else can provide it 😉

…and you can prepare multitrack recording while break music still playing…

ok, might be better with an mp3 Player.
I thought it’s one thing less to take with

I’ve made a few pre-mixed “break” or pre band tracks, of about 45 to 60 mins, but it’s just one file. I’m putting a library of them onto one stick, so I can just choose the most appropriate if nothing else is available.

ok, mixed in one track??? Good idea, too.
So the QU has no problem with such a long track?

You know you can play back music from an iPad using AirPlay via an Airport Express WAP…

So if you’re using the QuPad and the correct router it’s easy.

ok, I use the QU Pad indeed, but with no Airport express

but it only works with the Airport express?
But how do I get the Signal in the QU16?
It only works with the QU Pad App?

Airport express router has an audio out jack, allowing the iPad music player (any I think) to use AirPlay to send it’s audio out remotely. The airport express therefore gets a 3.5mm jack to jack plugged into ST3 as well as the network cable.

So it’s not QuPad itself, but the iPad (which is around anyway), you could equally use an iPod touch or an iPhone.

Or indeed anything that can do remote audio or remote audio control. There are remote control apps for iPod touch/iPhones so you could leave one at the mixer and just control it remotely over wifi/bluetooth

    ok, I see.
The audio jack is with the Airport express.
    Thanx
