It would be really handy if it were possible to restrict the recall, and in particular saving of certain scenes to certain users. Clearly it is possible to prevent ANY scenes from being recalled or (independantly) saved by a particular user, and this makes it possible to work around the restriction for recalling, by forbidding scene recall for a user, but assigning the allowed scene(s) to soft keys (or just making it the default user scene).
However, there is no corresponding ability to assign a scene save to a soft key, so you can’t use this work around for saving.
The scenario where this would be useful, for example, is we allow a local school to use our equipment for various events in church. We can give them a username, and allow them to recal a scene with their specific setup, but we really want to allow them to modify their setup, and then save it for use next time etc. The only way we can do this is to give them blanket scene saving permission, which runs the high risk of them saving over the top of one of our scenes.
So at the least the ability to assign a specific scene save to a soft key, or ideally some way to limit certain scenes to specific users etc.
Unless anyone has any better work arounds?
