We use 3 of outs for external fx pedals. All is good to setup, but “Send to” is not ideal to perform with.

Just as the FX Inputs (Sends) page is, Easy to access all channels to send – So could the Output channels.

Theres lots of screen diving to access a channel I want to send in the moment to external gear.

With the new midi functionality – can I have these output Send to levels permanently mapped to use with a controller? This would get the job done, if so.

Yes, send level can be midi controlled.

    But I don’t understand this:

Theres lots of screen diving to access a channel I want to send in the moment to external gear.

From faders view you have a direct access to the sends via the “Send to” button just above the Main LR fader.

    Send to – Click 1
    Out select – Click 2
Choose Inputs channels Page – Click 3
    Fader Adjust – 4th action
Exiting Sends to adjust – Click 5
Select Main LR – Click 6

    Now back to faders main

It a matter of taste, I find it very intuitive and fast.
And you also have the access to the sends via the processing of each channel if you prefer.

The sends can be midi controlled easily to have a direct access for each channel to each OUT but that is one midi command for each channel (+FXs) and for each send.
That makes a total up to 120 midi command depending of the CQ model you have.
It is quite hard to manage all of them as easily as the GUI of the console I believe.
That is still possible with an external midi controller set with 6 bank … at least…
