I am very happy that the additional channel strip rotary is available. I am really a fan of rotary and I like using them. I just never actually use the six channel strip rotary because the functions that are currently available are very impractical. Filter, EQ, compressor, gates, etc. can all be placed on the twelve rotary under the touchscreen. The functions are easily accessible there and there are always enough rotary. For this reason, these functions are always there for me. Putting the same functions on the channel strip rotary again doesn’t seem to make much sense.
I would like to be able to put different parameters of the FX devices on the channel strip rotary. But please not in such a way that I can assign a certain function to a certain FX slot. That is not flexible and not useful. It should be more like the rotary automatically assigns itself to the currently selected FX device and controls a useful parameter.
Another useful option for the channel strip rotary would be a mode in which they automatically assign themselves to the device currently on the touchscreen (gain, compressor, gate, filter, assing, etc.) and adopt useful parameters there. The fixed assignment to just one specific device makes the rotary very ineffective.
