    If you get bored at A&H, maybe it is worth to make an option card that would allow to attach computer (and maybe also a HDD) for multitrack recording. I would use it mostly as 2 ch input, so I don’t have to carry audio interface for the playback from mac/pc.

    Yes Dante,
    but I like the idea with the USB as well
    in most cases 16-24 channels would be good for a playback system

    Dante is fine, but in some cases where small channel count and/or low latency is necessary (plugins) USB would be nice. And I guess it would be quite cheap.
