It would be helpful to have more freedom to choose stereo pairings for stereo channels AND stereo insert returns. The latter is my biggest concern when routing inserts to and from Waves, but I think both would add a lot of flexibility when patching the system. We are currently required to have all stereo pairings start with an odd number channel/insert patch. Ganging offers a workaround for stereo channels, but stereo insert returns are just clunky. I can choose any port for my stereo insert sends, but my returns are forced to be consecutive port channels that start with an odd number. This seems like an issue that can be addressed strictly with software development.
