    Little Noise when turning up or down the preamp knob on every channel

    Can you expand on that?

    Are you saying there is little noice (which would be good)?

    Or, there is objectionable nois?

    Can you describe the noise?

    Is a little buzz that make only when you turn up or down the gain knob

    Have seen/heard this on lots of digital mic pres. Seems worse on QU. Less on GLD. Haven’t checked on an SQ. Digital zippering. Not something you ever heard on analog pres.

    The Yamaha PM1D and PM5D have this problem too. But I’ve only heard it when turning up the preamp very quickly. I’ve never heard it on subtle adjustments.

    This ‘zipper noise’ is imho typical for digital controlled preamps. they are using afaik a resistor array which is digitally switched to different resistor values. this switching can be heard when you change the gain. I have heard it on many such consoles.
