Rented an AB168 last week to use with my QU-16 for a concert series. It was great not having to lug around and deploy/retrieve my 150ft analog snake!
The only issue that I have with the AB168 is the location of the network jacks. When the AB168 is rack mounted, the network jacks (which are on the side of the unit) are difficult to access and identify which one is the input vs the extender.
Would really like to have these jacks on the rear of the device or on the front (like the AR2412).
Other than that, no complaints…
Hmm, if you want a rackmount unit, why not pick the 2412? Guess the AB168 is designed to be used on stage without a rack so the plugs are intentionally placed on the side not on the back, where the unit would lay on…
