More space for channel labeling

I often have the problem that there is not enough space for labeling the channels and I have to work with confusing abbreviations. When I look at this really great touchscreen, I always think, there is so much space… why do we only get so few letters for the name???
Is it possible to have a second line for the labeling?

Honestly, even just 2-4 more characters, I’d live with smaller text if it meant I could get more characters. If I only use 6-8 characters, then have it automatically format to a larger text for those who need larger text for visibility.
