From Qu-Pad app (v. 1.60) is now NOT possible – and SHOULD BE – to:
    – copy and paste (channel strip, eq, fx, ecc.)
    – control the pan of the stereo mix
    – select d-snake input in the channel strip

Pan is just above the faders, when looking at any of the stereo mixes.

I can’t find the PAN cursor!
    Am I missing something?

do you mean the master output balance?

    Well,

    Based on your pic…

There isn’t a pan on the mix outs…

    Mix 1-4 are mono…the rest are stereo…

The stereo ones follow the mixing of the assigned channels…

Ex. If you want channel one hard left you do that on channel 1…

Select inputs then on right select mx5-6 and adjust the pan…

    Ah, I see.

Terminology thing. I call the L-R control of where an input goes “Pan”, and the relative L-R amount of a stereo output “Balance”.

    Stereo input surely Mark?

Balance on outputs are determined by the balance of the inputs…

    Don’t call me Shirley

You’ve got me thinking now, but no.

I can pan a mono input from left to right (obviously when sending to a stereo mix).
I can pan each side of a stereo input as if it were 2 monos. In this case pans can be independent, but would more normally be linked and opposite.
I adjust the balance between the left and right side of a stereo input – but they still get sent where I’ve panned them.

If I have a stereo output, and I want the left to be louder overall, then I’d also be adjusting the balance.

Hmm, OK – I think I look at it as:
    – Mono input (or group) is panned to either a group/matrix pair or a stereo mix.
    – Stereo input is balanced to either a group pair or a stereo mix. I wouldn’t normally expect to be able to pan each side independently.

Outputs defined by the input, further adjustments made in the processing/amps…
Can’t recall if I’ve ever had output balance (other than a pair of faders)
