Midi control help needed

So I’ve been reading manuals and watching videos in the last few days still cannot figure out these two things. Please help me out:

1 – Control reaper transport (plac/rec on snapshot recall by custom midi) thorugh AH MIDI control driver on TCP/IP port
2 – Using softkeys as MIDI controller for Waves Superrack functions (hot plugin, user keys etc) – for sure I have to set the softkey to send out a Custom Midi message but can’t find what midi message should it send out..(have to admit I’m not at really familiar with Midi, so sorry if any of these are noob questions)
