I think I’ve posted this before, but doing it again as a bump…
We really *need* customizable names for “Custom Rotary,” per midi channel in order for those to be even remotely useful for anything beyond extraordinarily basic mappings. IE, if I was mapping out all my Midi channels to control another mixer on the network: Pan and maybe a couple aux sends, standardized across a full bank of midi channels would be the only thing I would possibly consider using them for. In reality, I’d like to be able to use the custom midi rotaries for more interesting things; such as Live Professor plugin controls that are specific to particular plugs. (Delay feedback, cross feedback, filter frequencies, thresholds, ratios, you name it.)
IMO, trying to keep track of all that without names is a recipe for disaster.
