me500 channel assignment

I have a SQ7 and would like to assign multiple inputs to a single channel on the ME500’s. Specifically I need to send about 20 inputs into this 16 channel controller. What I would like to do is take say channel 16 on the ME500 and assign inputs 28,29 and 32 to it. I understand they will only be able to control the overall volume of them as a group. Do I need to set up a DCA or Group with these inputs in it and assign that Group/DCA to the input on the ME500?
