Greetings, I just got our first QU-32 desk, connected to a 24/12 with 8/4 extender. Purchased with this was a couple of ME-1’s. I went through setup today, connecting the ME-1 to the monitor port of the 24/12, setup some groups, renamed keys, etc. Everything seemed fine, until the drummer came in to sound check. I discovered that his ability to receive the selected channel, was dependent on having the main output up on the desk to L/R output. As a small house of worship the drums are miced more for recording than foh live mix. I was expecting the ME-1 output to be more like an aux send for monitor where it doesn’t have to be in the house. I couldn’t find a method to change the monitor from that setting requiring a channel to be up for L/R. Any assistance is appreciated.

you can switch the send point to pre fader then it is independent from the channel fader

have a look in the reference guide on page 74
