Main L/R always on Listen Bus

CQ 1818t….firmware 1.2.1….Does anyone else have this issue?

Both Headphone channels have the main L/R always on when the listen bus is selected for monitoring…..the “headphone” button does nothing to change this….is there a system config option for this or is this a known bug?

On further testing it would be more accurate to say the main L/r does disengage when you press the “headphone button” on an individual channel but if no headphone/solo buttons are engaged then main L/R audio comes through the headphone jack by default….Is there a way to stop this behavior?

When no listen buttons are selected, the main LR mix is routed to the listen output, which by default is routed to the headphone output/s.
This is by design.
On larger consoles (e.g. Qu or SQ), there is an option to turn this behaviour off, so you are welcome to add a topic to the CQ feature suggestions section here on the community.

If you’re wanting to use the headphone outputs for a separate mix however, note that you can assign any of the individual outputs to the headphone sockets in the CONFIG / OUTPUTS screen.

Ya would be great to have a silent listen bus if no headphone button selected…will do!….I think its the headphone button on the main L/R channel that confused me….if its on by default what is the purpose of the button?
