Does anyone know if I can use my Mac w/ an ethernet cable to the Qu, to set up a wifi hotspot that will let me connect my iPad? This is primarily a backup plan, incase the little TP-Link I usually use has a problem, or get’s left behind.
Hi, you can use an Apple camera connection kit and a usb internet dongle to directly connect your iPad to the mixer in case of a router failure. I have this permanently in place for my QU-SB and it works absolutely fine.
Just saw this Pete. Thanks. I think I might just carry an extra router rather than the dongle and camera kit and Mac. I was hoping maybe just a Ethernet cable would allow the Mac to serve as a connected wifi network.
