Hi Ya’ll,
First post here and complete newbie to using a mixer.I want to use the usb out to my iPhone 15 pro max so that I can livestream using Restream or maybe a different platform.
My question is, how do I set up the mixer to recognize that this is what I’m doing and do I need to download any software on my iPhone ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.FYI, I have guitar, vocals and my pedalboard all running through and I’ll want to add our bass player to the mix eventually.
Thanks in advance for your help. So glad i found this group.

In this same screen, select what you want to send to the Stereo L/R output at the bottom right (last pair of channel assignments).
The CQ USB-B interface is class compliant, so it doesn’t need any special app or software.
You may need to try either physically connecting and opening the app you want to use, or opening the app and then physically connecting to the CQ to allow the CQ to be seen correctly. That should be it!
Whatever you’re sending to that channel assignment will then be going to the phone/app/stream and any returning audio will be coming back to the CQ’s dedicated stereo USB input channel.Cheers,

So I connected the usb cable to my iPhone and changed the settings in the config screen to Stereo under the link inputs 1/2
I also changed the Channel Assignments all to main LR ( i only have one mono going out to my Bose speaker )
For simplicity I only have a mic and guitar in the inputs currently both sends to L/R in the outputs.
I tried live-streaming with Restream and when I went to the audio source in their platform the only drop down available populated iPhone microphone. I would have thought it would say CQ18 since that’s where we want to pull audio from right?I then gave up on Restream and just tried recording video to my iPhone with the same set up as above.
When i airdrop the video to my laptop and when i play the video back the audio is so faint i almost can’t hear it.I don’t understand what I’m missing. It seems like the iPhone15 pro max is not detecting the signal.
Any thoughts on where I’m making a mistake?
Thanks so much for your help and input here. Very much appreciate you and love your videos that you have put out.
Ps, I’m a total newbie at this stuff.

- Create a stereo output and set it to be post-fade.
- Set all input channel sends to that output to be 0dB/Unity.
- Switch on the output compressor and as a starting point adjust the threshold to 0dB or higher and makeup gain to +10
- Switch on the output limiter to prevent peaks but turn the threshold up to +18
You can then adjust the compressor output gain if it’s too quiet or too loud, and reduce the limiter threshold if you get any peaking on the recording/stream.
I’m not sure what’s going on with the audio device selection, but again, I have seen some apps and devices where you have to connect/start things in a specific order for it all to be detected correctly.
Thanks,
