Went to a very informative demo with Andrew Crawford (A&H Aus) & Jared Daly yesterday – picked up some great tips from both guys, but one thing we loved was the midi implementation on soft keys where button presses could have a ‘key down, key up’ non-latching style functionality – Jared and I discussed the possibility of this same functionality being applied to other soft key options… for instance, in his demo show he had one soft key set to send a particular channel’s FX send to unity, then the soft key below it was set to take that level back to ‘off’, if you could set ‘key down’ as the send to unity, and ‘key up’ as return to off, as per the midi, that would free up a soft key, and actually work far better for that style of operation – be a great thing for doing fx ‘throws’ etc.

+1 It should be easily implementable.
