    it is very very very bad to terminate any 3.5mm stereo plug to two XLR connectors!

    It is then possible to inject 48 volts phantom power into the output of your iPad based on the wiring used. This will completely fry your iPad/iPhone/iPod.

    A 3.5mm male plug should never terminate to XLR connectors but instead should be terminated into two unbalanced 1/4 inch male plugs.
