Ip – short for?

    Maybe a stupid question, but why is channel named “Ip”? Short for Input or does is have something with network IP address to do?

    I think it would be handy to have the individual IP numbers next to the IP in the strip. I believe there is room for them in the LCD. I have mentioned this to the A/T, A&H guys at Plasa Focus Leeds this year. Not sure just how easy this would be to implement.

    Why not use the display function key on the console? It is there just for that purpose…
