Be gentle, I’m a bit out of my depth.

I need a step by step instruction to add an FX to several channels, same effect on all. I have a SQ6.

If the FX is the same for each channel with the same parameters, you just route the channels into it rather than inserting the effect on the channel.

Here is a good video to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0tJRe0sjgo

    I’ll give that a shot.

Insterting an FX on a channel will only let you put that FX on the channel
    it is inserted on.

If you select one of the FX send buttons on the upper right hand side of the mixer
the faders will switch to sends on fader mode for that FX, just like they do when you select a mix for monitors.

Just like turning the aux knob on an analog mixer for the aux that the FX unit is patched into.
