Anyone else have the ILive 176 surface perform a rather frightening crash in the middle of a show? We were doing a band switchover, about to feature the headliner, when our LD had our console completely freeze and every channel label on the surface was completely scrambled and flickering like mad. We shut the board down and rebooted it, but that made the situation worse where not only were the channle names completely gone, but the faders started flying in all directions on their own. We got our boss to go get our T112 surface and we quickly swapped the consoles out and configured the T112 to run the show. This was a hot summer day and while we were under a tent, the surface was still getting quite warm (we live in a semi arid desert, so the temp that day was approaching 40C). I haven’t been able to replicate the situation in our rental department but it has done some small quirky things, like 30 minutes after booting up and loading a scene, I had 3 channels, the L and R masters and IP Fx 1 fader fly to the top of the console and stay there.
Anyone else experience this? Perhaps the console just got too hot?
Glad we had the T112. Had the band up and running about 10 minutes after they were scheduled to be and the only folks who knew what had actually happened were the band, us, and one of the main organizers.
