I’m recording all my channels as insert sends so they are completely dry. What if I wanted to also record one of the channels with some compression on it? If I send that channel to one of the mixes, patch one of the channels to be the mix, and add compression will the channel recording have the compression applied?

For example I have vocals on channel 1.
Send Channel 1 to Mix 1.
In the Qu-Drive multitrack patch screen patch channel 12 to be Mix 1.
Then add my compression on the mix.

    Thanks,

    Jones

yes, the compression should be heard.

Also see the manual for “Direct out” points – you can select how dry you want the signal. Remember you can always apply eq/compression etc later if you record dry, but you can’t take it out afterwards if you record wet.

Thanks everyone. What I want to do is record both the dry and processed vocal. This looks like the way to do it.

Yes, to record both you need to (ab)use mixes etc.
