    Or you could just not turn on your speakers.

    That’s what I was doing before. It did work, although turning stuff on and off repeatedly isn’t my favorite solution. I’m eager to try Dick Rees’s solution when I have time to reconfigure my studio again. For now, the AltOuts are working great though.

    You could get one of these boxes –

    MC3

    It will allow you to switch to different monitors simply by pushing buttons.

    maybe it shoild not,but I just did it, on my qu 32 I hear my headphones, and can turn down tohe OUT fraom Alt out .
