I want to be able to place an EQ on my drums DCA group. Is this possible?

You don’t. DCA’s aren’t actual audio paths like subgroups are, they just act as a remote control of any faders assigned to them. If you have a DCA assigned to all your drum channels and you set the DCA fader to -5 all your drum channels behave as if their faders were 5db lower. You’ll need to use a subgroup if you want to actually process the audio as a group.
