V1.73 solved the issue of linked faders suddenly moving. I’ve not experienced that issue since updating.

I never did but I am glad that is fixed, I rarely if ever link faders, I want to move them in tandem myself like I have for forty years πŸ™‚
I rest two fingers on them and begin to move them and they fight me for a split second as I realize I can only move one…
To me it just isn’t convenient for the faders to fight me. Technically it is better because exact balance is maintained between the two channels, but I can move two faders simultaneously and maintain a even balnce of a stereo keyboard. to each his/her own πŸ™‚

I tend to “hide” one of the linked faders, it gives me “more” channels on the Custom layer.

Ditto – and it’s usually just the faders I want to link. Linking eq is the main thing for me.

all good practices, I do link channels sometimes, and it is usually when I want the processing to be identical on both channels.

@[XAP]Bob- I haven’t spent much time using the custom layer, but the ability to hide one of the linked faders is just what I need. I’m going to get this set up today. Thanks for the good idea.

The custom layer is great – don’t forget that you can put FX sends/returns, DCAs and more up there…
