    Hi!

After quite extensive search I wasn´t quite able to find similar scenario.

    The setup is the following

    GLD-80 + Dante card
    WIN 10 + Reaper
Audio Sync on GLD = Internal
GLD setup in Dante Controller = Preferred Master Yes + Enable Sync to External = YES

The problem is with the playback from DAW to GLD. Despite various latency setting in Dante Virtual Soundcard I´m still getting latency instability which takes place actually every 2 minutes roughly. This happens also without Reaper being launched (indicated by red bars on Dante Controllers Latency histogram). During problem free playback to average latency is around 5ms. Every two minutes there will be a peak with values between 10-50ms. This of course interrupts the playback which then recovers after 30-60 secs.

All components are running latest firmware and software versions. DVS is setup in 32in x 32out format. One clue is that with 16×16 the playback is fine without any issues.

A lot of things have been turned off and disabled on Windows side (firewall etc.). Also playback from external HD is giving the issues.

Is there anything else still to be tweaked?

What kind of network card is in the computer? Maybe it is a chipset that has problems with that kind of data

This is a cheapo Acer with a Realtek card. However it has been running amazingly well in 32 in 32 out rec/playback but this was through usb connected to a B X32.

One interesting thing is that recording with 32 tracks is ok and there are no latency hickups when audio is flowing this direction.

but your Dante problem could be network related
maybe add a switch to your setup
