When attempting to update the firmware in my GLD80 from 1.4 to 1.51, the desk says that the update is corrupt and to download it again. I did that, and still get the same message.

Has anyone else had this problem?

1.51 took 4 tries. Not sure why.

Firmware 1.51 worked on the first try of me. I’m interested to hear more about what caused this issue.

I just went and tried it five times, with the same result. We have two GLD80s and it was the same on both of them.

Does Allen & Heath monitor these boards? What’s the best way to get a message to them?

@collegechurch – Sorry to hear you’re having problems.

Please could you try either reformatting your USB key (FAT32 format) or using a fresh USB key and re-downloading the firmware from the website. If you continue to have issues could you drop me a line at support@allen-heath.com so we can look into this further.

    Thanks.

Reformatting the drive didn’t work, but using a different one did. I was able to install the update. Thanks!

Another problem has cropped up, though: Now GLD Remote on the iPad crashes. I launch it, I can choose GLD in the menu, then I choose a user, enter the password, then it crashes.

This was fine before the update. Anybody have ideas?

For starters delete the app and load it in again.

@collegechurch – as @gcumbee suggests, the first thing to do is completely uninstall the app and reinstall a fresh download of it from the app store. Let us know how you get on.

That’s actually what I did after posting that, and it worked. Hadn’t had time yet to post the result. Thanks.
