    Hello All,
Can someone explain to me how to make a connection between the GLD-80
and the GLD Editor software running on a Mac.
I cannot get the software to see the mixer via a ethernet port.

    Cheers,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    – Is your Mac set to a static IP address compatible with the GLD (GLD default is 192.168.1.50) and to the same subnet mask?
    – Check Editor and GLD are both running the latest version of software.
    – Try switching off WiFi in your Mac. Sometimes it helps.
    – If your GLD does not appear in the dropdown box of the Editor Connection window, choose Custom and type in the GLD IP address manually.

    Hope this helps.

Don’t you need a crossover cable if you are not going through a switch?

Most modern network interfaces will automatically configure a straight or crossover connection to properly match the other device. This is known as Auto MDI-X and it is implemented widely on most Ethernet devices.
