We currently run a GLD 112 at FOH and are looking to buy a SQ 6 to split off a broadcast mix. Is it possible to put an ACE card in the GLD 112 and pass audio to the SQ6 via the Slink port? I know it’s possible with Dante, but the cards aren’t available yet for the SQ6. Thanks for your help.

Hi Steveo,
No I’m afraid, support for ACE is not planned for SQ mixers.

I thought S-Link port is a form of gigaACE in order to work with DLive series?

So Dante isn’t available for SQ series mixers yet? This is exactly what I was planning on doing (using an SQ mixer for broadcast) but via Dante. I thought it took the same Dante card as the GLD mixer. Is that incorrect?

Hi thegtrsr1,

The SQ uses new technology compared with the GLD mixers, so unfortunately the cards are not cross compatible.

on the product page there is a photo with a DANTE card in the desk.
so that should work, shouldn’t it?
