I’ve recently volunteered to assist our AV team at my church where the team has turned over and there is little to no documentation provided. While everything is working, it seems overly complicated for our use case with a SQ5 setup for streaming and a SQ6 dedicated for the house. Only wireless, wired and wall microphones are being used, both boards are connected via rj45 slink.

My question is, when setting up mute groups, can I gang inputs where the mute button will mute the same channel on both boards?

    Many thanks,
    Justin

You can do this easily, at least from your main console.
You would have to send the desired inputs (or all of them) via Direct Outs to the second console and select in the Global Settings that they Follow Mute Groups (see also picture).

SQuser’s suggest is great. Just to clarify it slightly however – using this method does not need ganging. You simply need to use the “follow mute” option per the attached page of the reference guide in SQuers’s post. However keep in mind that only the first console will have control over the mute status. The second console won’t be able to unmute a channel that is muted channel on the first console. They can mute a channel that is unmuted, but not the other way around.
