Fx1 send on surface

So today i tested out some inserts fx on channels but as i uninserted it the fx return re appeared on the surface but the fx send did not return although on the configuration screen it showd it was there had to reset the desk to sort out the issue.

Anyone with any ideas

we had a similiar situation on our iLive…
the simple solution was that freece in layers was activated for an empty strip that was not empty before reconfiguring the mixer

I’m not sure if this is your problem or if it still works this way, but around two years ago it was the case that the FX sends and returns could not be strip assigned onto the desk if they were not patched as the send / return paths for their respective FX engines.
