    which July was meant?
    😉

    No kidding:
I wish the developers continued success. Don’t get stressed, we need a good firmware without bugs 😉

They worked hard to release the software in July but in August unexpectedly the team decided to take their summer vacation. Now the whole team is relaxing in Ibiza. When they’re back Corona wave 4 will lock them in their home offices…

    So…

Don’t expect anything and you won’t be disappointed 😉

It’s the lack of communication, again, that is so annoying..

Well, you really can’t be any more patient than we are.
    🙂

Probably we’ll see firmware 1.89 with minor bug fixes at the end of august?

No comments from Allen & Heath in 3 to 5 weeks. Not cool.

I understand everyone’s pain. We experienced the same when waiting for the Avantis updates. We went 10 months without even a simple bug update at a time when the console was brand new and lacking a lot of hinted about features. There was lots of hinted release dates that came and went without any further communication from A&H. I do understand their “no win” situation however. If they talk about a release date and miss it, everyone is upset. If the don’t talk about a release date, everyone is upset. Obviously the best case would be for them to talk about a release date and meet it, but A&H has always said they won’t release a firmware based on a release date. They will test, fix, and retest a firmware until it meets their satisfaction – even if that takes months (and months) longer than expected. So while I myself get frustrated at the process, I also understand it and appreciate that A&H won’t release a firmware prematurely.

Oh, yeah, I’m not complaining that they aren’t releasing it before it’s ready. I’d like a status update more along the lines of “This list of features are ready to go, and this other list is in testing. We found a weird bug in this one feature that we need to track down, fix, and retest, but otherwise early indications are good. Larry just got married and is on his honeymoon right now, though, and he does a lot of work on this stuff —- expect progress to be slower than usual for the next week or so.”, but most companies aren’t that transparent.
