What are some good fx to use on the sq for vocals? Maybe some good acoustic guitar reverbs? There’s a ton to choose from and I don’t get a lot of opportunity to play around with many of them. Church practice then service and that’s pretty much it. I’m not a newbie at this, first time posting here though. My old console I used vox plate and vox hall mainly and delay. Not many to choose from with that one.

EMT is good. Take care of the high frequencies. Use DynEQ as Deesser.

I have never found a better console compressor for vocals than the “OPTO” that is available for SQs with the optional 5 compressor pkg. When working with post production in my Digigrid/Waves LV1 system I generally use the CPU hungry Hybrd compressor, individually customized, for each input application. However the ability to quickly set high quality resolution and needed specific values for each individual vocal mic in the SQ is about as good as it gets for SR console compression.

Was playing around with the EMT 250 tonight at practice and it sounded pretty good.
That one and 1/4 note delay I think will be my goto’s for now.
