The ability to hold down a “soft key” designated as “fader to zero” and touch a fader’s select button. I promise I’ve been reading every manual looking for this.

Just hold down “Reset” and give the fader a tap upwards πŸ˜‰ Tap down to set it to infinity.

Great! But does it work for faders other than a DCA? I’ve scoured the manual… I have seen that info pertaining to a DCA but never to anything else. I’m learning the entire system from the ground up on Director with an occasional visit to the surface. How about a rotary or some other type of value? Maybe holding reset and tapping the screen would do it? But “reset’ sounds so scary.

    It works on all faders.

    But β€œreset’ sounds so scary.

It sets the default value for each parameter. It’s resetting to the initial value…
On the screens you will see symbols for the possible copy, paste and reset targets if one of the buttons is pressed.

This fader-to-zero Reset function, works very poorly in dLive Director. -Both on touchscreen and with a mouse.
I hope A&H finds a smarter way to solve it, on that platform. πŸ™‚

It works as expected on my Director installations at home… maybe your device is the problem?
Will try it later on the laptop… maybe it differs with the touchpad…

    Hi SteffenR

Maybe, but I don’t think so.

I have had this experience both on iMac with mouse, and on Macbook with touchpad. I have also seen a colleague, who has a touchscreen live setup, where -when the reset button is on- the faders jump uncontrollably up and down between 0 and infinity.

    Strange.
It works perfectly on my Windows computer.
