Expander (Dynamics)

There are no current plans for an expander, although as with all suggestions here, this has been noted and will be considered at some point 🙂

For me it is a tool that i use quite often in cooperate environments for heads and lavs. It would be great to have it right in the desk. Even as a deep plugin it would be nice.

And trying to improve a great product
Happy SQ5 owner here ,already a couple of female signer tours done with it.

But.. i really miss a Voice expander/gate ! ..really ..
Working with Yamahas cl 5 in a venue and with The primary source expander….its difficult to get back to a console with no Basic Expander option on the gate.

Full ack for the expander on SQ and dLive. The expander is for me the most missing FX since it is much more valuable than any gate in the world. I don‘t see the reason why A&H still has no plans for this really helpful tool.

Having the gate turn into an expander shouldn’t prove too difficult because it’s based on the same architecture…

I too really miss having this on vocals, helps clean up stage bleed.

Late to the game, but an absolute +1 from me.

An expander is such an easy option to add in the gate section and *so* much better to use in most of my applications.

Not holding out too much hope, given nothing’s happened by now. But go on, A&H, don’t be shamed by Behringer on this one…

While I’m really enjoying all the great features of the SQ, THE thing I miss is an expander feature on the gate (considering vocals, bleed reduction on a snare, etc etc)

+1 for expander option on the gate section. ALSO having Key frequencies with adjustable Q that will go lower than 120Hz. Please please PLEASE!
