Not sure where the proper place for I/O suggestions go, but I’ll put it here.
Maybe this is specific to my situation, But I have a rack of gear (wireless mics and various recorders, etc.) that travels with my SQ. I have a little extra space, but not 4 units worth for the DX168. The AR84 is nice, but only 48K. The other thing is, all of the I/O connections are on the “front” of the DX/AR, but all of my connections are on the “back” of the other units.
Maybe some research would be worth while to see if there is enough demand for:
Thin DX I/O’s (1 or 2 or 3 rack units) with
Inputs that face the back of the rack’
And obviously 2 Ethercon ports
One ethernet cable would look a lot nicer than my 12 cable assortment. And moving it would be easy to!
Anyone else agree?
