when using a DSnake on 1.7+ you can patch any DSnake input to any channel…
When sat at the console, does the channel processing screen tell you which DSnake input is routed to that channel?
Could someone take a pic of the Preamp setting screen with DSnake selected?

Excellent. About to demo the QU16 against a Roland M300 for a possibly hire later in the year. I use both regularly, but think the QU is a better solution in this instance (the remote control being a serious differentiator).

Hope that helps.

Just making sure that things I use rarely (although the hire would pay for the stagebox :D) work as expected.
2015/08/06 at 9:02 am #49690AnonymousInactiveYay, looks like I’m buying a stagebox. The AR2412…
Interestingly I see two common images online. One is black, the other is purple (which is both cool and good for corporate branding)
Is there any way to tell which one is which?
Any recommendations on purple cat5 🙂
2015/08/06 at 10:22 am #49692Lee7ParticipantThe AR2412 is what was designed for the GLD series and the AB168 (Black) is the latest stagebox designed for the QU range.
🙂
2015/08/06 at 12:57 pm #49693Nicola A&HKeymasterAll AudioRacks (AR2412, AR84, AB18) can be used with both GLD and Qu.
The original AR2412 and AR84 were purple. Newer AR2412 and AR84 are black and add locking XLR connectors.
There is no difference whatsoever under the hood.2015/08/06 at 6:05 pm #49701AnonymousInactiveSo I’ll get a black one, not a purple one. Oh well. It’s really not the most important feature 😉 (Right up there with sample rate)
Is the change to match the QU series rather than the GLD colour scheme, or did we just run out of purple paint?
2015/08/06 at 6:57 pm #49703mervakaParticipantPurple ones were badged GLD for obvious reasons, at a time when Qu didn’t exist. I guess the black ones are just more generically styled?
2015/08/07 at 2:15 am #49705dpdanParticipantI love my purple box 🙂
2015/08/07 at 5:31 am #49706AnonymousInactiveI like my purple boxes as well. All 6 of them. However…
I wish they had phantom lights on them AND I wish I had AB168s as well so I could split the AB168s’ evenly left and right stage sends.
But there will ALLWAYS be compromises unless i’m greedy and own everything.LONG LIVE PURPLE!
Ya gotta own a PURPLE box to be in the PURPLE CLUB. 🙂but you can join
2015/08/07 at 6:30 am #49707AnonymousInactiveI did say to my supplier that if he can’t get me a purple box I’ll have to buy Behringer…
2015/08/19 at 5:11 pm #49930AnonymousInactiveThe order has gone in, and I believe it will be black 🙁
Oh well…
2015/08/24 at 8:34 pm #50010AnonymousInactiveHats off to A&H for insanely fast delivery.
Supplier placed the order, box arrived next day at my office – still haven’t been able to pick it up though, I’ve been away…
