Hi.
Is it just me – or is there no distortion FX in Dlive?
If not – any plans for program one?
Would be really nice.
There is none.
For vocals I’ve been able to get pretty nice distortion (without losing total intelligibility) with this procedure:
Splitting the input, slamming the second input channel just the right amount through the dual stage valve thingy, then slamming again to taste through the 1176.
Ad a gate for “stabbyness” if you want, and then blend to taste with dry input.
For other inputs then vocals? I don’t know. Some kind of distortion FX in the rack would be nice.
I’m guessing that the dual stage valve on each input channel is not suitable?

No not really. I need it as an Effect for parts of a song.
An insertable one on at least 16 or 24 instances (like they did for the dyna8) would be great.
A&H go and check the soundtoys decapitator.. Really a good, fast and easy to use plug.. Plus it sounds pretty cool.
Thanks!

… since 2008 I suggested a distortion-FX for the iLive … nearly 9 years ago 😉
my solution:
external equipment = t.c. FireworX – also for dLive 😉
