Well, what the title says. I have Director 1.64 on a Windows 10 64bit system, runs just fine. When I try to store a show, the bar for that grows like it should, but the yellow error triangle in the top right corner pops up. The log shows like 20 or more errors within a few milliseconds now. Clicking on the stored show (yes, a file is created) it says 0kb and on trying to recall it says “corrupt show”. I tried to run the Director as admin in case it is a user privileges problem, but it didn’t help. A search didn’t offer results or clues about the problem. What’s going on?
2018/05/17 at 6:31 am #71071it works as expected on my laptop Win10 64bit
can you post the log entries?
2018/05/17 at 11:26 am #71077I had the same problem. In the file path are “German” letters äöü ….. The editor can not handle this.
Try to create a “new” user in Windows without this letters in the username / file path.2018/05/17 at 11:13 pm #71097WTF??? No Unicode support??? Why is then even a transferable 0kb file created?
If I create a new user and start Director there, I probably loose all my previously done settings, right? Where is the location where the “current” settings (not shows) are stored?
2018/05/18 at 10:56 am #71110Hello, Jens,
Unfortunately, I can not tell you that either.
To narrow down the problem a bit, you can switch to “Show detailed event logs” in Utility / Eventlog – About Setup.
With me there come a lot of “Error writing and Could not open file” error when I try to save. And in Log File a lot of Erros like this (…/J ? rgen/… :
